We are going to jump into these chapters right here, Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, John 18.

So these chapters all pretty much cover the same story and we're right toward the kind of the last supper all the way until Jesus is betrayed and taken away on his way to, for his trials leading up to the crucifixion.

So that's kind of the time period of where we're at.

Now we looked at some of this during Easter week, but now we're back to the chapters where we're actually studying and happening.

And we know we all did it at Easter, so we have gone through and picked out parts that we haven't talked about yet.

That are good for Easter, but they're just good lessons for always.

So as we're looking into these last few days, we are going to be looking for the long lessons that play out afterwards.

Yeah, so what you have, the place where we call the last supper is actually a Passover meal that's getting ready.

And it's during that last week of Jesus's life, and he's come into Jerusalem for one of the required festivals or feasts, which is the feasts of the Passover.

Now what's interesting is I think Jesus picks this, well, I don't think I'm pretty sure because he's God picks this week in particular for his last week of his atoning sacrifice and crucifixion and resurrection.

The story of the Passover has been the house of Israel's like national story for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years.

So they weren't the only one having a dinner that night. It's probably important to remember.

All across. In fact, what's his name? The Bible scholar, Josephus.

Right, so there are probably close to 200,000 lands that were sacrificed in the temple for Passover that year.

So we are talking in the millions of people would have come to Jerusalem for the Passover.
