This week, Matthew 14, Mark 6, and John 5 through 6.

So, to begin, let's set the stage for this particular chapter 14 with, there are three

parts here. You get the beheading of John the Baptist at the hand of Herod, you get the feeding of the 5,000, and you get the

walking on water. That middle element, the feeding of the 5,000, happens to be one of only a very

small handful of events in the first roughly 33 years of his life. This is before the week of his atoning

sacrifice. So everything from birth up through two and a half years, maybe almost three years

of his ministry, there's only a small handful of stories that are included in Matthew, Mark,
