All right, well, good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. We have two services.

The first service is our weekly Bible prophecy update, and second service is our verse by verse

study through God's word, and today we are in First Timothy, chapter 6, and Lord willing,

we'll make it through from verse 1 to verse 10. We'll

All right, let's get into the word. First Timothy chapter six, beginning in verse 1. I'll ask those of you that are here

if you're able to stand. You can follow along as I read. If not, where you're seated is fine.

We have a very interesting and actually well-known passage of scripture before us this morning.

So let's get into it. Verse 1. All who are under the yoke of slavery should

consider their masters worthy of full respect so that God's name and our teaching may not be

slandered.

Those who, verse 2, have believing masters, should not show them disrespect just because

they are fellow believers.

Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers

and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves. These are the things you are to teach and insist on.

If anyone, verse 3, teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound

instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceded and understand

nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies

and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions, and constant friction between people of corrupt mind,
