Hey my friends I'm Matt this is the 10 minute Bible hour podcast and this is going to be short and very simple.

0:15.0

We've been talking about Matthew chapter 13, particularly we've been talking about the

0:18.4

parable of the wheat and the weeds.

0:21.7

This is the one where Jesus tells him another parableces. The kingdom of heaven

0:25.3

is like a man who sewed good seed in his field, but while everyone was sleeping,

0:29.0

its enemy came and sewed weeds among the wheat and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads the weeds

0:33.7

0:37.5

1:09.6

part where Jesus actually interprets the parable of the wheat and the weeds. But you're smart and

1:16.0

literate and you can tell where a story is going and you know how to read a theme. Surely, even if you've

1:21.3

never encountered this parable before before you're already doing the math

1:24.8

on more or less where this is going.

1:27.5

One of the key components that we're going to break down as we get to Jesus' explanation

1:31.6

of his own parable is this business about the servant's attitude

1:35.6

versus his attitude. They want to rip the whole thing up because they're angry and

1:41.1

in that anger and short-sightedness they don't see the redeemability of the
