The weird way, I feel like me in a band is me playing me in a band.

This, playing and singing is a band. This playing and singing is important when you go see a band live, I think being captured in the vibe and the ambience,

you know, is a really important part of that.

The essence of performing is being present

completely yeah and people feel that in a heartbeat.

If I have a moment with someone and people feel that in a heartbeat.

If I have a moment with someone and we share a moment, the people around them ripple, the ripple effect, and that's how you build a relationship with the audience.

And I'm not happy unless I feel like I've given every single ounce of myself on stage. You know, that's why I come off dripping wet and, you know, and the

exhausted, you know, but it's always worth it.

I never wanted to stop drinking, never wanted to stop taking drugs.

I never thought to myself, maybe I should stop doing this. I was like, how much can I do?

I think unless you're ready to accept who you are, unless you're ready to accept that you need to change

and it's impossible to be forced-fed anything. I first met Matt Willis backstage at the O2 Arena with the other members of
