I'm here with Matt Willis.

How are you?

I'm good, mate.

Also known as Matt from Busted, which that must be a common reference. That is my name. I forget my name is actually Matt Willis sometimes. I'm just Matt from Busted. Yeah. Or sometimes I get Matt from McFly. Yeah. It must be a confusing one. Yeah, I went through a stage of when Busted is kind of split up and McFly doing loads of stuff, of just people like kind of drunk guys coming up to me and singing me Mcfly songs. Brilliant. They're like, great, that's really nice for you. That's not actually my song. That must have been heavenly. It was weird, because was there that much a crossover? Because it seemed McFly got big after you kind of stopped. Yeah, like they supported us on tour. Yeah, kind of, yeah, kind of. I think, I think our management put those guys together. Yeah. You know, because I think they kind of saw that maybe Bustin was coming to an end. Yeah. But Tom from McFlyer was actually going to be in Busted at one point. Right. He auditioned at the same time as Charlie did. So me and James started the band on our own, and no one really kind of got this kind of weird kind of duo that we were. Yeah. And so they kind of went, you know, we just don't really get these two guys. You know, we like the music. And so we held auditions and we, Charlie auditioned and Tom auditioned. Yeah. And we saw Charlie and we're just like, you're perfect. You know, so we got him on board and then. Tall, incredibly handsome. What better audition? Anyone would do that. A 20 band. Yeah, you're in. Tall talented handsome.. Let's, yes. Yeah. Let's pop you in there. That works. You're in, mate. So, um, so, and then literally he got in and we got signed about a week later. That's mental. Yeah. So again, because it's weird, because a band like Busted was so big kind of, it felt like out of nowhere and it was at a time when

there was a lot of manufactured band so it's interesting to know that you so were you are two

just mates who kind of you started it yeah well actually me and then auditions again as just

people trying to start a band and then kind of a labels came in or was that all?

Yeah totally I mean well the thing with me and James actually auditioned for another band and we didn't get in

Yeah, and we kind of we met a few times before because we had the same acting agent me and James were right
