They say you have to spend money to make money, but what Democrats want to do is spend

your money in order to take more of your money.

This is called quite a ruckus, and the real question I think at this point is just how many

Americans are going to be audited, and whether we should consider that a benefit or a problem.

The Climate, Healthcare, and Tax Bill, known as the Inflation Reduction Act that recently

passed in the Senate, allocates $80 billion to expand the Internal Revenue Service, with

the aim of bringing in hundreds of billions of dollars in additional tax revenue.

A little more than half of that $80 billion is dedicated to increased tax enforcement,

and some estimates suggest it will be used to hire nearly $87,000 IRS agents over the

next decade, although not all of those hires will represent new additional staff positions.

But to put that $80 billion in context, it represents more than six times the agency's

current annual budget.
