I was texting the Real Ring of Honor World Champion last week after his podcast,

Take a Bump, with Danny Picard dropped. And I came up with this idea. I want to watch his

world title win at Madison Square Garden with him. So I asked the real world champion

Matt Taven if he would do it. And Matt Taven said, absolutely. So as we record this podcast,

this is Matt Taven's 451st day as the real Ring of Honor World Champion. Of course, June 30th is when he won the championship

in a four-way match against Dalton Castle, Jay Lethal, and something named Cody. But this was the

night that Ring of Honor actually decided that they were going to get behind him. And they put him

in a ladder match. And he won

said ladder match at Madison Square Garden, defeating Jay Lethal, the fake Ring of Honor

champion at the time. And Marty the Melvin, Marty something, I don't know. So we're going to

watch this match together. Hi, Matt.

Hi, James. I mean, I haven't watched this match too much. I was just telling you, like, I haven't seen, I mean, I've maybe watched it twice. And still, when I think about it, it still feels very surreal. So I'm, like, excited. I'm pumped to do this. I'm kind of a little bit almost nervous because I'm

very very hard on myself when I watch wrestling and you'll probably notice I'm very kind of spastic

because I'm trying to wrestle for myself as I watch it. But hopefully I don't wipe out any

hardware here and I'll keep my water away from the soundboard as much as possible.

I was, I was in the building, thankfully, and I was pacing like a mother the whole time.

Yeah, exactly.

Because I had nervous energy because as much as I wanted to reach out to you and be like,
