There's all sorts of ways in which the shadow brokers release has worked very much to the advantage

of Russian interests and to the disadvantage of US interests.

So for instance, it's created a big storm, a big reminder to people about the vulnerabilities

of the US. There's been a lot of concern over whether or not the US should be using exploits.

It's obviously degraded US capability in the short term because these capabilities are now essentially patched.

It makes it very difficult for the National Security Agency to be using these vulnerabilities.

So there's a direct loss of capability. These events have hurt the US at points of interest between US and Russian relations.
