Carnival's new private island with Celebration Key in the Bahamas is getting a lot of attention because this is its new private island experience. And if you're like me, you looked at photos and videos of it that have come out so far and thought to yourself, my goodness, this is a huge rip-off of Perfect Day at Cocoa Key. And listen, I get it. This is all about competition. You're going to find what works. and Royal Caribbean's Private Island with Perfect Takeokey has been the de facto standard since it came out.

I mean, ever since then, my goodness, I think every other private island has looked antiquated.

So, the Carnival's credit, they've tried to one up Royal Caribbean by taking a lot of their ideas.

And I was looking at some first photos that came out.

we're getting some good coverage here of what's happening. And I got to be honest with all

of you. I'm going to share my hot take here of what I'm seeing because it's really eye-opening

fanboy view of what Carnival is doing. I'm not saying I'm being unbiased here at all.

So I ran through some of the articles and videos that I've seen of Celebration Key, and I got to tell you a couple things. First of all, the pier and even the trams look exactly like Cocoa Key. I mean, they've got the shade that goes over the pier that Cocoa Key has. The tram type is the exact same vehicle. I mean, clearly, Carnival went to the exact same company. I mean, granted, I don't know how many companies of tram vehicles there are, but it is the exact same one. But one thing that I noticed that Carnival did that, I think, is a mistake, is their trams are for only one half of the island, and they have another tram service or the other half the island. So basically if you're looking at a map of Celebration Key, you've got the left side of the island and the right side of the island, but you have to switch trams if you want to go from the left to the right.

On Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day, it's one tram for them all.

It does a circle loop and you're good to go, which seems to be like a good idea because it would be really annoying to switch trams just to go from one side of the island to the other.

It's not that big of an island. I mean, it's big, but it's not like, you know, we're not talking like city here. I think that's a really strange choice. But by far, the two things that really jumped out to me about Celebration Key is the fact There's not unlimited food and the drink packages don't work here. I mean, that is really surprising.

In Travel Spree's video, they rented

a cabana at one of the places of the adult only pool and they showed the menu of the food.

They have 12-piece chicken wings for 1899. Grilled fish tacos, three pieces, 1499. 1799 classic burgers 1699 i mean they're charging

money for food on top of the cost of the cabana where at cocoa key when you rent a cabana

the food is included in fact it's very hard to find extra cost food at cocoa key i mean I mean, obviously, there's admission costs to the Beach Club at Hideaway Beach. But once you're in there, the food is included. In fact, the only place that costs extra straight up is Captain Jacks, which offers wings and fries. And I really don't know anybody who's ever spent the money on it. I mean, you all know sometimes I don't mind spending some money on my Royal Caribbean cruise, but that has never been a place where I thought this is really

worth spending extra money to get wings and fries. But anyway, I think this is a terrible idea. I mean,
