Oh, I shipmates, welcome back to On the Wind. I am your host, Andy Schell. We are doing a special

episode this week because I only recently realized that 2023 is the 10-year anniversary of this

here podcast, September to be exact. Hard to believe that I have been doing the same thing

for 10 years now. It's pretty cool.

I tend to bounce around and I'm like a new ideas guy. So to be, to have consistently done something

for 10 whole years feels like an accomplishment. So to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the

show, I have asked all the team and tangentially related friends of 59 North

to pick an episode that was their favorite from one of the years going back to 2013.

So the first episode we're going to do to do a rerun and celebrate the 10-year anniversary.

I've asked Lee Cumberland, who is the producer on this

podcast and who has helped me produce the Sailing Stories podcast and has been involved at 59

North since the very beginning. And Lee actually tells the story of how we met here.

I did a little mini-interview with Lee to ask him what his favorite episode was from the last 10

years and why he chose that episode.

So I'm going to hand it over to Lee. Here we go. All right. So, Lee, you are producer on the

podcast nowadays and you and I have done lots of different podcast projects together, including

sailing stories, which was kind of your thing. We actually met through,

I think, through the, before the podcast even existed. So I kind of want you to tell me what

your recollection is of how we met through the podcast, how that was related. And let's start

there. Okay, so I think we met, I think we got in touch at the very beginning of On the Wind when it wasn't called On the Wind, like an episode like four or five.

Because how I found about the podcast episode we're going to be talking about is I went back through to inspired guys and kind of picked out all the
