like about a month ago. No, hand-up. I mean, we were all there. But here's the thing. Marcel O'Meyer should be a case study in the Felger and Mads School of Journalism about why tanking fails, because they threw away an entire season for this guy to hit 220 with a 550 OPS.

Remember, they hired an incompetent manager on purpose and threw away a full season.

Now, I know it was 60 games and it was the COVID year, but that year, Matt, the White Sox,

the Marlins, the Reds, bum organizations, not only made the playoffs, but some of those

teams actually won a freaking playoff series.

Meanwhile,

I had to sit there and watch the worst Red Sox team, until now, worst Red Sox team in my lifetime,

just to get Marcel O'Meyer, again, who was the fourth overall pick and can't hit above 220.

That should be the number one case study for why tanking fails, especially in baseball,

and we've wasted a year for this guy, and it pisses me off five years later. Dude, Steve, it's even more than just a year, and you make a good point with 2020. They let Zander Bogartz walk out the door. They did not want to pay him. That's the problem with all. They didn't tank to get Marcelo Meyer, and that was like the solution. You have it right there.
