Hey, everybody. In this episode, I'm here with Drew, and we're going to do something different for this one.

We're going to talk about our own ideas about a subject that we have a shared interest in.

Drew's doing more work in terms of writing on it right now because he's got a law book coming out.

But we wanted to talk about myths around the subject of ritual and sacrifice.

And we thought it would be fun if we both came with our own like three myths and then talk about alternative views to them that we're proposing, with a sort of caveat that,

you know, ritual and myth and ritual and sacrifice and the whole sort of purity system and

ancient Israel is an enormously complex subject. So, you know, we'll add that footnote at the

beginning. But yeah, we want to just

bring these myths to each other. And all we've done in preparation is give each other the

headliner thing, but we don't know the detail content of what we're going to share. So you'll hear

us converse in real time about this. So hey, Drew, how's it going? Great. And I love it that

we're talking about what we

think and mostly what we feel, because I feel like these lists were generated. They're a little

bit of like a hate listing, you know, the things that you hear out of students' mouths and you

like stop, you pause, take a breath and go, okay, here's how we're going to deal with that, right?

Well, maybe your students's true, but yeah.

Yeah, I mean, obviously region students don't fall into such a little pause.

Not at all.

So how do you want to lead?

Do you want to start with one of yours and then we'll discuss it and then go back and forth like that?
