From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to locked on chiefs. It's a brand new day and

the chiefs have two games remaining if they can get to that Super Bowl. It is a great day in Chiefs

Kingdom and the story of the days that the Chiefs got through the

divisional round and are set again to host the AFC championship in Arrowhead

and the friendly confines that they have been working

towards all season.

This game was quite unique and I have to say that upon further review, not only was it one of the biggest in history in terms of surmounting a

deficit that you put yourself in, to be quite honest, that they were able to overcome and come back from, but it was also a game that was so unique in the way that points were scored.

We have to take a look at just what the offense was able to do, seven straight touchdown possessions.

Patrick Mahomes flinging it all over the yard, three touchdowns each by Travis Kelsey and

Damian Williams backup, Blake Bell scored, all kinds of things went on on the offensive side.

But the defensive side held up very well as well.

They were dealing with some injuries.

The loss of Juan Thornhill in week 17 was a big rub and they used a combination of different

safeties to make up the gap.

And what that allowed them to do is move players around and still maintain what is the schematic

advantage that the Spagnola defense has over the opposition using Dan

Swernson who had a heck of a game, especially on special teams,

Kendall Fuller, and just a touch of Armoni Watts,

a little bit less than I expected,

but that too is gonna be just fine
