locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to lockdown chiefs. It's another day,

another new player on both sides of the ball. We're going to talk in depth with that

Derek about the process that this team is undergoing with Brett Veach in the lead in

metamorphosizing this roster on the defensive side of the ball and how they're going

about it, what it means, and where they're at right now.

A great conversation coming up with him, but I want to touch on a couple of things first.

The Chiefs did make a signing there on Tuesday. A backup

tight end another guy that is hopeful to be able to contribute. Blake Bell is

going to come onto the roster. They're going to give him a go in the off season and see what he's got. It's going to be depth. I don't think he's a world crusher. But when you have yelled in on this Roger who's somebody I'm

really interested to see how he'll do because Travis Kelsey still recovering from

some off-season surgery he's not going to go for the OTA's so the backup tight ends are going to get a lot of play early. So it's going to

be interesting to see who emerges and if they make another signing because I think there

are more depth out there and they want to have some veterans at the

tight end position behind Travis Kelsey no matter what they choose to do in the draft.

So also, and I don't talk about AAF much on this pod.

In fact, I'll probably do something more in depth

on RGR football, but since I have the mic

to myself for this intro today, I just want to touch on the topic

that AF looks like it's suspending its operations.

And I know it's been a huge uptick in football interest this off season to this point. A lot of folks really got into it.

And it looks like there's some internal strife about the main investor. I'm not going to use his name
