Summary

Ohio State's defense continues to make strides in the right direction. The Buckeyes lead the nation in sacks and have simply been better overall since Matt Barnes took over as the shot caller. If this continues, is it as simple as Ryan Day will officially promote Barnes to defensive coordinator next season? Are we getting ahead of ourselves? Of course. That's what we do around here.

On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is coming off one of the best performances for an OSU wide receiver in the history of the program. That's obviously excellent news. The not-so-good news is the offensive line has now struggled in back-to-back performances in the run blocking department. What is to make of the offensive moving forward this season?

Also, the Buckeyes will face off against Purdue this Saturday at the Horseshoe. What are thoughts on this matchup?
