Soon after, they knew they wanted another child.

They decided to pursue adoption.

That's how they met Elizabeth Jones.

Elizabeth thought the traits would be great adoptive parents to her unborn baby.

After talking daily and visiting Elizabeth in Virginia, they both agreed that it was a perfect

match for an open adoption.

The baby was due in December of 2018, and the traits had picked out a name for her, Noella,

and Elizabeth, the birth mom, already felt like extended

family. A month before the baby was due, Elizabeth went into labor early. It was an emergency.
