faithful study of the scriptures that we hope will renew your excitement for your own personal study

and help you passionately teach what you're learning to others. We are back this week with

lesson two, episode two, studying in Matthew 1 and Luke 1. Hopefully you had a great Sunday

yesterday, the first two-hour block for all of us, right?

Yeah, except me.

Except for all of the sick people in this house.

We have been plagued with the flu this week, and it has not been very fun.

And I was so sad I had to miss the first day of the new exciting two-hour church, but sometimes that happens.

It was awesome. It was really, really awesome. So hopefully your Sunday was as good as our Sunday was.

We even got in some good outside snow time. So good Sunday.

Yeah. We're going to get started today with kind of an introduction to the gospel writers.

I think this is an important thing.

And for me, a fun thing that I've kind of learned from you is just kind of understanding who these writers are and where they come from.

If I'm honest, when I heard that Come Follow Me was going to be moving through the life of Jesus

chronologically instead of moving through the New Testament sequentially.

So, for example, we're combining in this episode Matthew 1 and Luke 1, I was a little bit sad

because while I love

learning the details of Jesus' life in order, each of the four gospel writers has such a unique

perspective and a unique view that, to me, combining their words is kind of like taking, oh, saying,

hey, in this general conference four

people talked on faith let's just combine all their talks into one and and you lose some of that
