Greetings and welcome to a Friday edition of the shotgun start. It is April 1st.

Branden here solo. How are we doing out there? I am by myself. Andy is on family vacation in South Carolina. I told him do not bother. I will do this by myself.

I'm regretting it slightly now, but I will be on family vacation and holding head in a couple of weeks and I may force him to do this awkwardly all by his loansome as well reciprocate in that way.

But we have a Friday show here with an interview with Trevor Emelman.

The next time actually I'll see Andy, the next podcast you will get from us will be an in person recording we are going to be together at the master's next weekend or next week I should say Sunday night will be doing an anwa sort of a chevron championship as it's now called recap from Monday and start dipping our toe into the full master's week.

Obviously, you know, there's a different energy when we record together so we're pumped about that allegedly the audio quality is better we're told.

I don't know if that's a good thing for some of you, maybe a bad thing for others who's expectations for this podcast remain low audio quality, but we're really excited to get together after a couple of years apart.

And we were there was an 19 tiger win. We did not do the pandemic masters in 2020 nor the sort of limited access and limited patron masters of 2021.

So we're very excited to be back at Augusta this coming week will have a ton of podcasts newsletters writing at the Friday on site stuff credentialed stuff it'll be it'll be a good week and we're really grateful I guess for your guys continued support of the podcast.

You know, obviously when the pandemic first hit, there was concerns about how this would go, but we've not only survived and we've grown mostly just thanks to you guys engaging, listening, interacting, indulging our nonsense and PS.

So thank you guys for your continued support. We're pumped for a full season out there really at the majors and being on the road doing some of those in person recordings.

Next, we are excited today to be joined by Trevor Emelman. He is not only the current president's cup captain, but he was obviously the 2008 masters winner.

He's going to be on the call for NBC in golf channel for the annual on Saturday. And then obviously also works for CBS. So we'll be on the tower for 15. So he's got kind of a unique perspective as a champion, as a broadcaster for women's event, the men's masters.

So it was good to get some time and like candidly he's a fan of the podcast. That's certainly the least notable credential or part of his bio. I should note, but he sort of understands this community understands that the game doesn't need to be super serious every time we're talking about professional golf.

And he's just been really good to us. We've seen him out at certain events and he gives us so much time and is really fun guy to be us with and sort of is a part of this community, I would say, hopefully maybe that's a scarlet letter I'm branding him with by suggesting that, but he was really kind with his time.

This episode is and actually I should note he gets into some cool stories, not not not in my questions were that good, but you get some great stories out there about both the course and the master's tournaments, some memories and stuff some inside the champions dinner and some of the shots he really let make him feel like a kid at Augusta National.
