He is now the athletic director and associate vice president at Cal State Dominguez

hills right here in Southern California.

Eric, thank you so much. How you doing today?

Kim, I'm doing well. How about yourself?

Doing fantastic. I mean, you're off and running now here you are first full year at

Cal State Domingus you take over last year in October just kind of talk about what the last you know

11 12 months have been like getting off the and running.

Well, it's been exciting. Anytime you're following your passion, it's a great opportunity. That's something you all almost, you know,

you almost do for free. And so just getting in there, what we call the chair, sitting in the chair, learning all the nuances that come with that, being able to serve our student athletes, our coaches, our staff,

our alums, boosters, faculty.

It's just been, it's been overwhelming just from an exciting standpoint, right?

You just can't imagine what it is to do something you love to do every day.

So you don't have a bad day.

Doesn't mean you don't have challenges, but you wake up every day and say,

man, I'm doing what I love to do. I believe if you can't play, then you should coach. If you can't coach, you should

demonstrate. If you love the game things like that,

that's the excitement team that I have every day.
