I'm Pete, joined by Darius. No Mike today. But Riggs got to go to his first Laker game on Saturday. Riggs, as you all know, if you listen to this show, probably our most frequent guest at this point now, Mike's youngest son got to go to his first Laker game. And in that

game, he saw LeBron James in his 19th year at age 37, score 56 points and lead the Lakers to victory.

And to a victory that I think is just a very small lifeline

from the basketball gods of which our own basketball god reached up and grabbed it on Saturday.

Before we get into the results of the game and the ins and outs of the lineups and all of that,

56 points in year 19. A lot of points, that has never been done before.

That, that, we just need to pause and appreciate the, you know, Kobe's last tweet was to LeBron,

keep pushing the game forward. And what that means to me is to take the game to places that no one

else has ever taken the game before. And on Saturday night, LeBron James did that. The talk to me about an

absolute masterpiece of a performance from one of the league's all-time grades.

I just thought, so on any given night, a great player just has it. So I'm sure you saw this

in the melt when you were cutting up film,

and I saw the Lakers social feeds put out a lot of different content around LeBond's night.

So there was a point in the second half. It might have been the second half. He had had 40 points

already, I think. The words were taking free throws and LeBron's and LeBron was underneath
