Summary
Dr. Ann Burgess, a psychiatric clinical nurse, began her ground breaking career assessing and treating trauma in rape victims and co-founding one of the first hospital based crisis counseling programs at Boston City Hospital. This got the attention of the FBI who asked her to assist them in investigating serial rapists and murderers. Dr. Burgess developed the methodology that the FBI and other law enforcement now use to interview, study and profile serial killers and apprehend perpetrators before they could offend again.
