if not the biggest trades of a defensive player in NFL history. The breaking news earlier

this afternoon, two-time defensive player of the year, Miles Garrett traded from Cleveland

to the Rams for Jared Verse, a first rounder, a second rounder, and a third rounder,

Jared Verse, a two-time Pro Bowller in just two seasons in L.A.

So that gets treated almost as if it is a first-round pick, even better than a first-round pick,

because Jared Verse is an ascending star pass rusher in the NFL.

That may be the priciest deal in NFL history for a defensive player. A little bit

later on in the show, I'll do some historical comparisons to the trade made today. Look, the Rams

simply put, they rarely consider the future. You know, future seasons to them are never as important as the upcoming season.

And for them, the upcoming season begins in Melbourne, Australia.

On the first Thursday night of week one, the Rams have gone from what was a slight favorite to win the Super Bowl to now a pretty

sizable favorite to win the Super Bowl post Miles Garrett trade.
