I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

So a lot of things going on in regards to yesterday's active shooting at the Annunciation Church

in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Just absolutely horrific. All of the cliche words we're hearing, you know,

in regards to active shooters manifesto, which this shooter,

who has been identified as Robin Westman, age 23, male transitioning to a female. So I guess

she's known as a she at this point.

The why, I mean, the why.

After all of these active shooter incidents, everyone wants to know why.

But in regards to mental illness, you can't always explain the why.

You know, and many people that are not Americans that live outside of the United States,

they question our proliferation of guns and our easy access to guns.

And they don't understand it.

And if you try to explain the Second Amendment to them,

they would shake their heads and say, no.

Like they would fully give up their right in their country.

They in fact had that to keep in bear arms.

But it is in our Constitution, right? The right to keep in bare arms but it is in our constitution right the right to keep in

bear arms is right in the second amendment but these incidents that have been uh become to be known as

active shooter incidents are intolerable.

And our government are elected officials must, must do everything possible to mitigate not just the situations that might happen tomorrow,

but any future situations.
