And I'm Tommy Binion.

So for today's show, we have a big week ahead on tax reforms.

So we're going to have Heritage's Rachel Gressler here to break that down for us in a little bit.

But Tommy, let's just give us a little bit of a preview of what exactly is going on in the House and Senate on tax reform this week.

So the House is done.

The House passed their bill.

Now it's the Senate's turn.

The Senate bills come out of committee. It'll be on the floor later this week. It's 52 to 48 in the Senate. 52 Republicans, 48 Democrats. Republicans can lose two votes. And if they do lose two, Vice President Pence will be there to break the tie.

This is one of those weeks with a razor-thin margin.

All eyes will be on the Senate.

You know, there are a handful of senators whose vote is still in play at the moment. The whip count is not set in concrete, as it were, but optimism abounds. The bill could change slightly, although

not overwhelmingly in the next week. So I think it'll be, you know, a lot of nerves, a lot of

sitting on the edge of your chair waiting, but ultimately I'm optimistic. I think the Senate will

pass this tax reform bill. I think the House will in turn pass this bill so that the bills match up.

And it'll go to the president's desk and he'll sign it.

And as he's been saying, it will be a president to the American people.

I'm starting to buy it.

I think it will happen.
