Speaking of the 4th of July, we have Lindsay Burke in Ann Ryland here to join us.

They've done some research on ESAs for military

families, which we're really interested to hear about, you know, their findings in this proposal.

Lindsay Burke, just by way of introduction, she is the director of the Center for Education Policy.

She is also the Will Skilman Fellow in Education at the Institute for Family Community and Opportunity here at the Heritage Foundation. And Ann is the research assistant who helped her co-author this piece. So thank you guys for joining us. Yeah, thanks for having us. Yeah. So I guess just to start off, what made you decide that there was a big need for this kind of a proposal for military families. Yeah, so it's Fourth of July, right?

I mean, this is a great time, Independence Day.

This is a great time to think about how well military families themselves serve us, right?

How much they protect our freedoms.

And so we've really been thinking, you know, our education system should serve them as well as they serve the country.

And so that is really the genesis for this idea.
