Hello, and thank you for a very special edition of the Nightly Pleasures podcast.

It's the beginning of fucked up February, so I thought you deserve a special intro in which we talk about.

Video games. Oh my God. Oh my God. I haven't had a game, a system that could actually run games in like years.

And then shortly after COVID, my switch got stolen by a break-in. So I haven't had a

gaming system. What happened is I got my gaming system. I, you know, this is the era of Mr. Tum's

getting sick while my back is getting out of pain. And so I scraped together $2,000. I use $1,000

bucks on a phone because a lady of the night pretty much demanded it.

And she was pretty much keeping me alive at that point.

So that's what I spent it on, her demand.

Isn't that fun?

I've come a long way, baby.

And then the other thousand I earmarked for a gaming PC for Christmas,

and I got it, and I ordered it.

And they gave me the email two days before it was supposed to ship even though I bought it weeks earlier that it wasn't going to.

And that I'd be given a full refund.

So in a panic, I just got a shitty PC because mine was dying to record on. And

it had an okay graphics card for the time and okay CPU, but I lost what's called the lottery,

the CPU lottery. And I was just so depressed and everything. I just didn't even bother. And I

thought, well, this will encourage me to work harder. And then COVID happened.

So that is the long winding story of how I just didn't game as a gamer for seven years after Gamergate, more or less.

On accident. And then my computer died. Died in January. January. Just out of nowhere. And I kind of

knew it was going to because it kept booting up in the year 2556. It's not better.
