Summary

Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, and is joined by Tony Serino of AFC North Talk. The Pittsburgh Steelers gave Mason Rudolph his first shot to run the first team offense. But how did he perform? Compared to Mitch Trubisky, there's obvious advantages to both early in training camp. Rudolph's timing has been an asset, but both he and Trubisky got to run two minute drills and Trubisky's veteran experience shined while Rudolph hesitated in the big moment. Still Rudolph does look like the most fluid QB in the system. Also, T.J. Watt had praise for Devin Bush and Myles Jack and what they're doing as off-ball linebackers for the Steelers defense. After Bush had a rough Monday, he's had two good practices that show he could bounce back. Finally, the Steelers put Jeremy McNichols on injured reserve and signed Ohio State rookie running back Master Teague III. Teague's speed and size could make him an interesting candidate to be Najee Harris' backup, but the Steelers are still looking for their No. 2 running back and Benny Snell, Anthony McFarland, Jaylen Warren and Mataeo Durant have all flashed potential.
