This is Mail Online, French women in uproar as they're forced to wear masks during labor,

leaving them vomiting and unable to breathe as doctors threaten to leave them to give birth

alone if they refuse.

This is Ma, this is one of the stories 30 gave birth at Nantera, a commune in the House

of the Sainte Department in the Western suburbs of Paris at the end of April.

The management controller who was unaware of the rules before the birth was made to wear

the same mask for 12 hours between 6 pm and 6 am and she described her experience at

the hospital as blackmail.

She said it was made clear to her that if she did not wear a mask, she would have to

give birth on her own because the doctors could choose not to treat her and the hospital

was understaffed and could not provide a replacement team.

I mean, I have had the beautiful honor experience to watch my wife give birth in our home to

our children and that experience is extremely intense and something I don't think any man

would ever be capable of going through but the breath is such a powerful part of that

experience and to imagine a mask over your face while this is taking place is just so

mind-numbingly idiotic and terrifying, I can't wrap my head around it and probably was

best exemplified by the story that you see in this photo.

This woman in the caption says this, Fanny Rego, 25, gave birth in April and found that she

could not catch her breath while she was giving birth and made to wear a mask.

Eventually she had to have an emergency C-section pictured, Fanny wearing an oxygen mask for

the surgery with her husband who was made to wear a face mask during the operation and

their new baby.
