week I'm sharing a talk by Mary Pearl T. This particular talk is a portion of a

workshop on the 12 steps and it starts in the middle of a personal story. The story leads into her discussion of step six so I'm leaving it in.

And I picked up my gallon and we're walking out and Jennifer turns to me and she said

I didn't know you work for Sears.

I don't.

I don't.

And she said, well why didn't you warn me?

And I said, you heard it the same time I did.

I don't know why that.

I don't know why that happens.

It's sort of like you're playing a game and you just want to see how far it's going to go and where it's going to end.

It's just, and she said, and I hate Jennifer, you know, she's so sweet and naive and wonderful and she said,

well, wasn't that dishonest?
