Summary
Climatologist and author Dr. Judith Curry says there is no evidence that extreme weather events are worse today. They were actually worse in the 1930’s. Back in the 1980’s, the U.N.’s environmental group was looking for an issue to advance its global agenda. They seized on global warming as the desired vehicle. Dr. Curry says political and financial motivations aligned and brought us to a place today where the Left thinks we can prevent bad weather by getting rid of fossil fuels. This mad rush to destroy our established energy infrastructure and replace it with wind and solar is a huge mistake. Joe Biden thinks he can control the climate simply by getting rid of CO2 emissions. He can’t. No one can. The whole agenda for protecting ecosystems and clean water and air has been usurped by the climate change CO2 agenda and those solutions are damaging to clean air, clean water, the environment, the economy and our security. We’re by no means ready to transition away from fossil fuels. Satellites show a greening of the planet for the past several decades and that’s actually a good thing and is the weakest part of the argument that global warming is dangerous.
