Well, normally, I'll just say this.

I write my own show opens, but I have to say I love so much what my guest wrote today

that I have to read it.

He writes this, for many people, God is just a vague cloud of cosmic kindness, a supersized

projection of ourselves into the sky, or an impossible to please kill joy.

But who is God really?

Good theology should inspire curiosity, joy, adventure, hope, virtue, and reverence.

So today we're going to talk about what it means to marvel at our maker, becoming increasingly

freed from the burden of taking ourselves too seriously. We're going to learn to embrace the

reliable, enjoyable, victorious, eternally loving, redemptive,

and expressive God, the one that we read about in the Bible, the God of the scriptures,

in a way that not only brings intellectual clarity, but also real, enduring life change.
