I'm Entertainment writer Jim Hill, and my co-host Aaron Adams and I are recording this particular episode on Monday January 7th, 2019,

which is the day after something truly extraordinary just happened to the Golden Globe, which is that Tony Picture Animations Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse,

just took home the award for Best Animated Feature.

Yay! Deservantly so, I want to say.

Well, no, I mean, I have to admit, I'm thrilled myself because again, it was a great movie, but look, the smart

money was on Incredibles too. I mean face it, it's Pixar which has dominated

this category forever. That Brad Bird movie got glow in the dark reviews it made 1.2 billion worldwide which is about a

quarter of what's a spider. Well here's my thinking on this whole Spider-Man thing is that

normally traditionally all of Marvel's animated movies have

been direct to video so for it to come out in a theater first is an anomaly of why

why is this even here and I was doubtful of it as a Spider-Man fan I didn't even really care about it

until Drew had said it's the best animated movie of the year and then I was like okay I

really should check it out and after seeing it I was like oh my

God this is something completely off the charts new amazing different it's great in so many

different levels.

In the past, I've actually enjoyed DC animation more

than anything Marvel has ever put out.

And this is the first time where I felt that something with the Marvel name, animated, belonged
