It's been far too long between shows.

Let's just start with the obvious.

Okay, so we have Ant Man and the Wasp, which saw yep yep okay and we're gonna get into it a more

detailed discussion of the film in the back half of the show but it's been kind of interesting for me anyway watching the

discussion of the box office of this movie. Have you seen any of that or?

No, I really didn't have much expectation since Infinity Wars was so huge.

I kind of expect this to be a bit more, I don't want to say subtle of a movie, but the box office is going to be significantly

lesser than Infinity Wars, so I've tempered my expectations for this to be mediocre to moderate success hopefully.

See, this is why you're never going to make it as a entertainment reporter in 2018 because everybody turned and sort of jumped on the fact

that Ant Man in the Wasb did exactly what you said.

An opening weekend of only 75.8 million and the press which tends to be

reactionary this point went like oh god look at Black Panther that sold

two hundred and two million dollars worth of tickets domestically over its opening weekend.

Or as you said, Avengers infinity war.

That was a quarter of a billion dollars,

257.8 million dollars over its opening weekend weekend and even the Incredibles managed to sort of kick

a ant man's butt. It sold 182 million worth of tickets opening its weekend but the only people who weren't

hitting the panic button were the folks at Marvel because they had an attitude like

you are and they were like well look the first ant man movie when it came
