This is Entertainment writer Jim Hill, and my co-host, the amazing Aaron Adams and I,

are recording this week's episode on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021. So that's seven days after

Thanksgiving, 2021. So how was you in Sabrina's holiday? Low-key. That's how we do holidays around

here. Nice and quiet. I was suddenly picturing helmets with horns, but the other low-key.

Okay. We usually do wear capes around the house, but that's regular Monday through Friday,

garb. We don't have to get it snazzy for the Thanksgiving holiday. Got it. Okay. Well, here,

it's that little hero Thanksgiving literally lingers in the air because I'm currently boiling down

the carcass of what used to be a 16 pound bird in the crock pot. So I can make turkey soup later

this weekend. Over the past six days, Nancy and I have had roast turkey with all the trimmings.

We had then had pilgrim sandwiches. I don't know if you've ever had those. Will you do the soft

sandwich roll and then use cold turkey meat and stuffing and cranberry sauce and mayo.

And then, all right, we did turkey salad. We had chopped up the white meat in the dark meat with

mayo and celery. Then we had open, very turkey sandwiches. Turkey meat with hot gravy over sour

dough bread. Yesterday, it was turkey paninis. I'm not sure we're going to do the same thing for

Christmas. This was a lot of turkey. That said, I have already procured my black eyed peas and

collard greens for New Year's Day. In fact, Amazon delivered the collard greens earlier today.

Well, you'll definitely have good luck. Do you observe that tradition? I only learned of that when

I lived in Orlando back in the mid-Aid. Yeah. Now, that was a New Orleans thing that we learned

down there. So in the north, we never did it in the south. They always do it. I got family that

still does it. It is a requirement now. So yeah, we do participate in that for some strange reason.
