Tom Holland actually played a huge role in making Disney and Sony reunite for a new Spider-Man movie,

plus hidden storylines from Avengers Endgame revealed.

Reportedly, Tom Holland personally helped seal the deal between Disney and Sony to keep Spidey in the MCU.

See, he really is a superhero.

According to the Hollywood reporter,

Holland made multiple appeals to Disney CEO Bob Eiger

and Sony Chairman Tom Rothman to find some common ground.

It obviously worked because they came together for a deal

and as we know, the new movie will be released July 16th, 2021.

And I can't wait. Also, we now know some extra scenes

that were cut from earlier drafts of Avengers Endgame. Tuesday night, I attended a screening

of Endgame at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, and it was followed by a Q&A

with screenwriters Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFuelie. They talked about some of the abandoned

storylines from earlier

drafts of Infinity War and Endgame, one of which would have been a sequence in the

mind space where Bruce Banner would have faced off against the Hulk in the arena from

Thor Ragnarok. That would have introduced Professor Hulk at the end of Infinity War.

In fact, they actually had to reshoot the opening sequence of Endgame because he

wasn't Professor Hulk yet. They also pinpoint 1948 is the year that Steve Rogers went back to

so he could have that last dance with Peggy. And they did consider having the defenders from Netflix

step out of a portal during Endgame's climactic fight scene, but didn't, out of respect to the creators of those shows.
