More casting news for the Disney Plus series Loki.

And Scott Derrickson didn't even get a chance to write a script for Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness.

Variety has confirmed that along with the news that Owen Wilson will be added to the cast of Loki,

Gougu Mbatha Ra will also star on the upcoming show.

Of course, we don't know anything about the character she will be playing, which is always kind of a bummer.

Yes, please, give us details.

But we'll be excited to see who it might be.

She is killing it right now, having just starred as a series regular on the Morning Show alongside Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. She was also in Motherless Brooklyn with Edward Norton, so we can't wait to see what she brings to the role.

And if you thought that there was something written for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, well, you would be wrong.

Yeah, you would think that they would have had something to argue about creative differences over, like a first draft.

Nope, according to Scott Derrickson's co-writer on the project, C. Robert Cargill, they didn't even get a chance to write one.

He wrote in a tweet, quote, since it keeps coming up in news stories, it's worth noting that Scott and I never had the opportunity to write a draft of multiverse of madness, so whatever they are working on now isn't derivative of our work.

I am of course very excited to see where they take Steven next.

And if the rumors are true and Sam Ramey is indeed going to be directing the sequel to Doctor Strange, then so are we.
