Chadwick Bozeman is Drax the Destroyer?

Chadwick Bozeman is possibly the most well known for his role as King Tachalla, also known as Black Panther.

But did you know that he originally auditioned for the role of Drax the Destroyer?

It's hard to picture anyone but Dave Bautista playing Drax, and it's hard to picture anyone but Chadwick Bozeman as Tachalla.

So it definitely all worked out in the end.

When asked about it by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Bozeman did say that he didn't think he had any chance of actually getting the role. He went on to say, quote, you know you're not going to get it, but you're meeting the people. They might be like, it's not this, but we'll put him in this other thing, which is ultimately how he ended up in what I dare say was the perfect role for him in the MCU.

And in comic book news, a Marvel Comics number one from 1939 in very rare mint condition sold for a whopping $1.26 million at an auction in Dallas, Texas.

According to Ed Jaster, the senior vice president at Heritage, this is, quote,

a historic copy of a historic comic book.

Boy, I'll say, considering that it is also the first appearance of the Submariner,

The Human Torch, Angel, and more.

The seller wanted to remain anonymous, which is probably a good call.

But to whoever he is, good for him.

I will now be looking through all of my comic books.
