Her name is Jenny Chan, C-H-A-N. And she has written a book back in 2020. If you're watching this on YouTube, which I got my three channels back a couple months ago, X, Rock, Vin,

or Rumble, you'll see the title of it. And it is Marutus of Unit 731, human experimentation

of the forgotten Asian Auschwitz. And I read through the book today. It's very interesting.

A lot of information I didn't know about. We're talking kind of in the pre-show. This happened, she can go in more greater detail,

but these human experimentation happened in the context of kind of pre-World War II and World War II,

and it's what we call in the States of Pacific Theater.

And in the context of this kind of invasion of the Chinese mainland,

Manchuria, things like that.

She's been listening to my Manchurian candidate series, which I think we're on episode 14 now,

hopefully do 15 soon. But this is kind of the environment and the topography. We're on the map. It's northern China above North Korea. So there was, I think the Japanese called it Manchuko or something like that. That was their name for that when they invaded and then the war ended and it wasn't there. Anyway, so a lot of details to this, the name, Marutis, you can explain. She's also affiliated with a 501c3 in San Francisco titled Pacific Atrocities Education.

She has a very informative website, which I look through, which she's part of, but she can talk more about that.

Good. For people who haven't heard your name, I was kind of listening to some of you earlier.

I know you've kind of been on other shows. Maybe you can talk about your background, how you got interested in the subject.

And then we can lead into this book, Marutas of Unit 731.

Yeah, my, growing up, I loved watching, like, anime, and I was learning Japanese, and I thought,

you know, Japan was such a cool country, but my grandma didn't think so.

My grandma was just, I mean, she was kind of a hoarder, but she threw away my whole box of

manga books, manga comics, she was kind of a hoarder, but she threw away my whole box of manga books,

manga comics, and, you know, I never really asked why. I just thought that she must be racist
