All right, everybody. Welcome back to another edition of The Tear Down. My name is Jeff Buck, and I'm along with my co-worker, Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers for The Athletic.

And today we're here to talk about the NASCAR race at Martinsville, the Formula One race in Australia, and the Long Beach Grand Prix for IndyCar.

And first, of course, we're going to start with Martinsville because Jordan was there last

night.

We were recording this on a Sunday afternoon, not after the race like we usually do, because

we want to include the F1 race and IndyCar in our podcast this week.

We decided that before the Martinsville race turned out to be one of the all-time duds.

Ouch.

I'm glad we, I'm glad we did decide that, Jordan, because I don't know.

We were messaging last night, and I don't know.

You were pretty fired up, justifiably so.

And I would have loved to have heard that last night.

It would have been tough.

It would have been late and would have made things a little complicated schedule-wise.

But it would have been great to hear.

I'm glad I slept on it.

I'm glad I had.

I didn't say that last night, but I did kind of want to, I was kind of that was one of the reasons why i said hey let's push this tomorrow was like let's just sleep on this that way you don't say anything you regret you're waking up the next

morning going what what what did i say who are you you need to go home now kind of thing

yeah usually i don't have that luxury and so uh which maybe makes for a better podcast i don't

know but um that's on what side of your thing on?
