I mean, when I was here, I didn't pay tennis.

this is where I spent a great deal of time during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The crisis lasted 13 days.

I remember very, very well the news.

They had a moving diagram showing the Russian ships moving steadily towards the American Flotilla,

which was there to stop them from getting to Cuba.

And we were given to understand that could be the start of a nuclear war.

And I remember talking to friends about it.

We couldn't really believe, that's because we were young, I was 16,

that the end of the world was going to come.
