Welcome everybody to Mormonism live. I'm Bill Real, joined by my co-host Radio Free Mormon. And we've got a fun episode for you tonight. In Mormonism, we always tout the three witnesses, Martin Harris, Oliver Cowdry, David Whitmer. And we say those three guys stick into their story that they affirm that the Book of Mormon is, in fact, what it claims to be and what the church claims it to be.

Even though they left the church, they never denied their testimony.

Who would do that unless it was true, Bill?

Yeah.

As if only denying one's testimony would make something, uh, lack credibility.

What if not only they had a testimony of the thing you want them to believe in,

but they also had a testimony of a half dozen other things that would make their testimony much

weaker? What if they believe much, being credulous perhaps? Yeah. What if they believe? Being too much, being credulous, perhaps.

Yeah, what if they believed other religious movements and other religious stories and other spiritual tales?

And they believe the stories of others when those stories seem quite absurd.

Well, tonight on a Mormonism live, we are going to jump into the untold story

of Martin Harris. And anything from you before we jump into this RFM?

All right, here we go. So first off, let me start with Martin Harris.

And I wanted to start with outside of Mormonism, essentially a little bit of background

on Martin that gives some shape to his story.

I wanted to give folks a bit of a biography, but not exactly, more connected to the things that have to do with Mormonism.

And Martin Harris was born in 1783. He died in 1875. Martin Harris was born in 1783 was a

prosperous Palmyra farmer long before Mormonism. He had acquired a handsome property.

And that was the quote about the property you had. And We'll see pictures of that tonight. And it is quite a handsome property.
