I think that right now his promise that he will make these things happen

is propelling him in this race. He's very popular with younger voters. We speak with Fox's Martha McCallum

after her interview with the frontrunner. I'm Dave Anthony. As the tension builds around Chicago

protesting federal illegal immigration raids, President Trump keeps considering invoking the Insurrection Act to maybe send in the military.

So in an odd way, it's almost like they're sort of baiting him into doing so,

and they want to do it because they think it maybe helps them politically, at least within their party.

Words can often come back to haunt politicians, especially in the age of social media.

But past comments don't seem to be hurting the frontrunner for New York City Mayor.

Among likely voters surveyed,

State Assemblyman and self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist, Zoran Mamdani, has 46% support in a

Quinnipiac University poll, compared to 33% for former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who's running as an

independent, and 15% for Republican Curtis Sliwa, who says he is the law and order candidate.

I say, you take gang bangers and you lock them up. That's how you do away with gang violence.

He believes you have social workers coddled them. Mom Donnie says he wants to make it easier for

officers to do their job and that previous remarks about the NYPD being

racist and a threat to public safety were after the killing of George Floyd.

Police officers that I spoke to, they don't want a behind closed doors apology. They want a broad

public apology for the things that you suggested about them. Will you do that right now?

Absolutely. I'll apologize to police officers right here because this is the apology that I've been sharing with many rank-and-file officers. And I apologize because of the fact that I'm looking to work with these officers. Foxes Martha McCallum also asking Mamdani, who's been critical of Israel in the war in Gaza, whether Hamas should disarm. We have to ensure that there is peace, and that is the future that we have to fight for.
