Hello, and welcome to SciShow Tangents, the lightly competitive knowledge showcase.

0:20.7

I'm your host Hank Green, and joining me, as always, this week, is science expert,

0:24.8

Sarah E. Riley. Sarah, did you know that a cup of coffee has as much caffeine as four

0:30.6

cocoa colas? No, I did not know that, but that feels like quite a bit of caffeine.

0:36.9

Yeah, which tracks for me, because sometimes people will be like, well, I use so you can't

0:43.0

drink coffee. You drink coax all the time. It's a quarter of four coax at once. Yeah.

0:48.3

Who drinks four coax? Anyway, I'm trying to stop drinking coax because there's just

0:53.2

it's a ridiculous amount of pure table sugar to be putting into my body. But the problem

I've thought more about caffeine in the past one minute than I have in the past year.

1:17.0

I don't use caffeine in any way. I just I'm tired all the time.

1:27.0

1:31.3

have drunk half of it. And I'm going to try my very hardest, just pure mental strength

1:37.9

to not have the rest of it, or also joined by Sam Schultz. Hello, Sam, our resident

1:43.6

every man. Hello, here on SciShow Tangents, we get together. We try to one up, amaze

1:48.9

and delight each other with science facts. And we try to stay on topic while we're doing

1:52.6

it. But sometimes I'll just rant about caffeine instead. Our panelists are playing for

1:56.6

glory and for Hank Bucks, which we will be awarding as we play. And at the end of each episode,

2:01.7

one of them will be crowned the winner. Now, as always, we introduced this week's topic

2:04.9

with the traditional science poem this week from Sam.
