of our series that outlines a human mission to and from the red planet. The fifth episode

lays out the complexities and the innovative strategies needed to pack for a human mission

On this episode, we'll be focusing on what we need to pack inside of that transport.

Though, of course, need things that you pack on a normal road trip, food, water, clothes.

But this road trip will be a doozy. You'll need to bring breathable air, running on super

reliable systems, and enough spare parts to carry you through a multi-year mission, because

there's nothing that you can forget. Once you leave for Mars, there's no turning around

and no resupply vehicles to send afterward. So here to go into detail on what to pack for

Mars is Chell Stromgren, Chief Scientist of Bynara Incorporated and part of NASA's Mars
