This is one of the most important messages that I bring related to marriage because, you know,

a lot of people, if you ask couples, did God put you together?

You know, most couples would say, yes, God put us together.

And then if you ask them why, they can't answer that question.

And Karen and I could not answer that question early in our marriage

for many years. And so I want to talk to you just about how we got to the point of having a vision

retreat for our marriage and what a difference that made. So let me go through a couple of facts here.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. This is our vision retreat guidebook I'm going to talk about here in just a minute.

But in five years, these are just some facts about your marriage. In five years, you will not

be the same. You'll be better or worse, but you won't be the same. Okay. And the question is,

what will you be like in five years? What will your marriage be like

in five years? It's an important question. Another fact, success never happens by accident. It always

happens on purpose as we decide to have a positive purpose and we commit to it. So if we're going to

succeed and be better in five years, it's not going to happen by

accident. You're not going to say, you know, we never talk. We never work on our marriage. You know, we really never spend any time together, but we have a fantastic marriage. That's not going to happen. If you're going to have a good marriage, it's because you purpose to have good marriage. Here's another fact. In marriage, success only happens if we're both in agreement and committed to the same purpose.
