Summary

Of course it could, but we are never taught marriage skills. We expect our relationship to work by default, but it’s not going to get better on its own. Marriage takes constant, intentional work. No relationship runs on autopilot no matter how much a couple loves each other.

John Barbee felt he was failing as a husband and a father. He realized he was only participating with his family on a surface level. One day, he decided to take action and shape his relationship his wife. This involved communication, partnership, friendship, and intimacy. It also involved investing in himself.

1:14.7	right now is about 50%. And the next chunk of stats that I'm going to share with you guys,

1:29.4	this out these are real stats divorce rates 50%. So that leaves the other 50% of people who stay together.
1:36.8	So here's some kind of crazy stats within that realm. Only one third of those marriages that stay together can actually rate their
1:47.6	marriage as excellent or legendary or whatever you want to call it.
1:55.2	There's another one third that's like, eh, it's good, could be better.
1:59.3	I mean, it's not bad enough to where we're gonna break up,
2:01.2	but you know, is it everything I thought it would be?
