And we are so glad to have you guys enjoying us. Last week we talked about the gospel instruction

and motherhood. A really big topic, I think, especially in the season of little kids that most

of you listeners are likely in as well as Emily and I are in. Marriage can very easily be put on

the back burner. So we're excited to talk about that today. And oh, I should mention to Emily

is here with me. Hi, we're speaking in the same room, which is exciting to be able to record together

instead of via Skype. So, yeah, so we're talking about marriage, motherhood, let's see. And you said

back burner, which I think, again, we talked about self care, like a lot of times with motherhood,

our children are so demanding and their needs are so immediate that we unintentionally put a lot

of things that are important, but not urgent on the back burner. And that can work for a little while,

but a lot of times, you know, we end up regretting it when we put aside things that are important,

that we need to be caring for, our marriage being one of the the most important things in our

lives that we care for right behind our relationship with God. Yes. And I think that is so easy.

Again, in today's society, just of how much it's pushed kind of the helicopter parenting trend

and things like that of just to put our kids first and the world kind of continues to say that,

that the husbands can take care of themselves and they're going to make it and they, you know,
