Would you turn to 1 Corinthians chapter 13?

In 1 Corinthians 13 is what we call the great love chapter.

In this chapter, it talks about the qualities and characteristics of the God kind of love.

But actually, this is not just a love chapter.

This is a growing up chapter.

Did you notice that?

He talks about growing up.

And that's not a subject change. They are inseparable.

To grow up spiritually or to grow up in God is to grow up in love. They are one and the same.

Developing in love is developing spiritually. And what you got to watch out for is that you do not

develop spiritually apart from growing up in love many people think they do but that's why the

passage begins like it does.

Let's read it.

1 Corinthians 131.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not love,

I become a sounding brass or a tinkling symbol.

Stop.

You mean you're speaking in other tongues and it's not worth anything.

You're speaking in angelic tongues and it's not accomplishing anything worthwhile.

See, a lot of people don't even believe that.

Because they believe when they're speaking in tongues, the Holy Spirit is speaking.

But that's not accurate, at least not completely accurate.
