The sermon text this evening is Colossians 3, 12 through 19. Put on then as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved,

compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

Baring with one another and if one has a complaint against another,

forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

And above all these these put on love which binds everything together in

perfect harmony and let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts to which indeed you were called in one body, and be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all

wisdom, singing Psalms and Hymns and spiritual songs with

thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do

everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father

through Him.

Wives submit to your husbands as is fitting in the Lord.

Husbands love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

Let's pray.

Lord. Let's pray. Lord, there is a great cloud of witnesses. What a cloud of witnesses it is, lining the way they finished the race as it were, they come around and they stand on the side

and say, go. You can do, forgive. You can do this. We finished. Finish well.

What a cloud of witnesses we have.

So God, may we take heart and may you pour out a spirit of covenant keeping love on us in this church.
